Post Card to Service Men and Women

The Camporee had a theme of Safety for the Scouts to work on and earn different Merit Badges that would go with that theme. The Merit Badges that were offered were First Aid, Traffic Safety, Fingering Printing and Fire Safety. The Webelos were able to attend class on Fire Skills, Readyman, Outdoorsman and Whittling Chip. The military made available for our use some of there tents that we used to hold the Merit Badge sessions in. The Scouts had a opportunity to fill out Post Card that were sent over seas to our men and women serving in the gulf. The Scouts had different types of games they could take part in like the I Spy, Hum Vee Pull. Leaders had a special Breakfast cook off that was Judged by Military and City Officials. Campsites were inspected by our guest. The conclusion of the Camporee was a campfire which had awards, skits, speeches and a talk about the flag and we ended with a spectacular flag retiring service for 52 flags Troop 40 and 139 would like to thank all you help and attended this years Fall Camporee.
